I made these adorable Hello Kitty White Chocolate Truffles a while back using this super awesome and diverse Hello Kitty Silicon Mold, edible markers which you could purchase online or your local craft store, and White chocolate and gold luster dust for Hello Kitty’s little nose. I personally filled these truffles with a yummy raspberry filling, but I’ll save that for another tutorial since I did not take any photos at the time of that process. I made these a while back, but wanted to share them on here regardless since Eat Hello Kitty is all about the obvious! 😀
You simply take your Hello Kitty silicon mold, and paint pink candy melts or gel colored white chocolate with a fine-tip craft brush. Please do not use liquid food coloring with candy melts or white chocolate or it will seize. Liquid plus fat = chunky mess. No fun. Fill in each bow with your pink white chocolate, and let set. Pour in tempered melted white chocolate and let solidify for 2 hours at room temperature. Popping these in the fridge can result in separation. White chocolate can be a pain to work with. However, I’m not sure about candy melts.
Once your adorable Hello Kitty White Chocolate Truffles are solid, pop them out of their mold. Test the candy in the center of the mold by taking your fine tip craft brush and trying to push through. The center candies will take the longest to solidify since they are surrounded by their friends, who have window seats… sort of. This is how my mind works.
Take your edible marker, which you can purchase at ANY craft store for about $4 per pack, and fill in Hello Kitty’s eyes and whiskers. I took gold luster dust, also available at craft store and dusted her little nose.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoy these cute little truffles!
